A market-leading B2B manufacturer of high-spec pharmaceutical solutions is seeking a commercially driven Area Sales Manager to lead growth across Northern Europe.
This is a strategic and autonomous role with significant responsibility for managing a diverse portfolio across the UK, Ireland, and the Nordic region.
You'll play a key part in expanding direct sales, developing distributor relationships, and driving success in one of the business’s most opportunity-rich territories.
Please note : Candidates must be currently based in mainland UK, with full right to work. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
The Role :
- Delivering the commercial strategy across a multi-country region.
- Developing and executing localised sales plans in alignment with global goals.
- Building and managing strong customer and distributor relationships.
- Achieving revenue and margin targets while maintaining high service standards.
- Acting as the go-to contact for key accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships.
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities through proactive outreach.
- Representing the business at trade shows, client meetings, and industry events.
- Providing accurate forecasts, reports, and analysis to inform wider planning.
- Collaborating with internal teams (technical, marketing, product) to meet client needs.
- Managing and training new agents across the territory where required.
What We’re Looking For :
3–5 years’ sales, commercial, or business development experience within pharma, medical devices, or packaging.Proven ability to manage sales across European markets, ideally in a hybrid or direct sales model.Strong knowledge of market dynamics across the UK, Ireland, and Nordics.A consultative sales approach with excellent cross-cultural communication skills.Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management.A degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences or a related field.Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and virtual communication tools.Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across the region.Experience in pharmaceutical packaging machinery – highly desirable.Postgraduate business qualification (e.g., MBA) – highly desirable.What’s on Offer?
