The Role

As a Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitor, you will manage a diverse caseload of matters, including :

  • Disputes relating to wills, trusts, and estates.
  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
  • Challenges to the validity of wills, including undue influence and capacity disputes.
  • Trustee / beneficiary disputes and breach of trust claims.
  • Court of Protection matters and disputes concerning the administration of estates.

You will work closely with clients, including high-net-worth individuals, trustees, and executors, providing clear, pragmatic advice and robust representation. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to business development, helping to grow the department further.

About You

  • A qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE in contentious trusts and probate.
  • Strong technical knowledge of trust and probate law, with experience managing complex cases.
  • Excellent client care skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
