The closing date is 10 July 2025

Band 7 - Advanced Paediatric Occupational Therapist - Under 5s, Pre-School Community and Special School Lead

The Ealing Paediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) Service is seeking a motivated, flexible, and innovative therapist to work with children and young people in Ealing. We are a friendly, dynamic team passionate about supporting children, young people, and families across health, education, and social care sectors. Our main base is at Carmelita House at Ealing Broadway, with a high level of integration and collaboration among different services and colleagues.

The OT Service provides occupational therapy to children residing in Ealing, with an Ealing GP, or attending an Ealing school under a service level agreement. Our settings include Special Schools, Children's Centres, Mainstream Schools, Ealing Primary Behaviour Service, and clients' homes, as well as clinics and parent workshops in local health centres. The service primarily involves face-to-face work, with some remote activities.

Main duties of the job

This is a part-time (30 hours / week), 12-month fixed-term role with potential for extension. We seek a team player with substantial clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and experience working within interdisciplinary teams and across agencies. Support and supervision will be provided by a Band 8a supervisor. The role involves working mainly in clinics, overseeing joint OT & physiotherapy clinics for pre-school children, supporting junior staff at Children's Centres and nurseries, and providing leadership and management responsibilities.

We focus on evidence-based, family-centred care principles and are open to new ideas, regularly reviewing our practices.

About us

Our team has successfully secured funding from various agencies and comprises over 21 staff members, including Clinical Leads (Band 8a), Advanced Therapists (Band 7), Band 6 & 5 Therapists, and Band 3 Technicians. We offer regular CPD opportunities and have a formal supervision structure. This role is through Central North West London (CNWL) Trust but does not include the trust's Golden Hello or Relocation packages.
