SEN Teaching Assistant | ASAP / September

Location : Ealing

Full-time, 5 days per week

Salary : Negotiable, depending on experience

Are you a caring, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role to start ASAP? If so, we want to hear from you.

Teach Plus is currently working with a primary school seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in KS2 with Autism, starting ASAP.

The role is a one-to-one position, 5 days per week, 8 : 30 am - 4 pm.

The school is a popular, community-focused, 2-form entry primary school located in Hanwell, Ealing. It has recently undergone refurbishment, featuring modern facilities and ample outdoor space for learning and play. The school maintains a good quality of education, fostering a friendly and welcoming environment. Pupils are motivated to learn, make good progress, and achieve well.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include :

  • Supporting the child both inside and outside the classroom following the class teacher and SENCO's guidance
  • Implementing activity and intervention plans provided by the class teacher
  • Supporting learning and development
  • Providing a warm, nurturing environment to ensure the child's safety and well-being

The ideal candidate will have :

  • Experience working with children with SEND
  • Preferably, experience supporting children with Autism
  • The ability to build rapport and respond to individual needs
  • Ability to follow instructions from the class teacher, SENCO, and external agencies such as Speech and Language Therapists
