Job Overview :
We are looking for an FPGA / Embedded-Systems Engineer to join Arm’s Solution Engineering FPGA Design team on a permanent basis. The team is based in Cambridge and Manchester, UK working at the forefront of Arm based embedded design.
We are an FPGA design team delivering ASIC prototypes on FPGA platforms internally and externally in support Arm’s IP business model, based around Arm’s leading CPU and system IP solutions. These platforms are used for software development and IP validation activities both internally by Arm and externally by partners / customers.
The role involves building a detailed technical understanding of incoming Arm IP RTL designs and making relevant design changes to construct an FPGA prototype of this ASIC RTL, on FPGA.
You will be part of a project team delivering the prototype, working collaboratively to create an FPGA prototype for enablement and validation, working with verification and software engineers. Responsibilities include estimating and owning tasks, delivering against a plan, and focusing on engineering efficiency and quality.
The role includes RTL creation and modification, implementation constraints, and high-quality, clear, accurate technical documentation. Familiarity with writing and reviewing documentation is desirable. The candidate will be responsible for delivering designs using techniques such as gated clock conversion and synthesizable models to build accurate representations of real-world systems.
