Job Description :

We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. As our business grows, we seek an experienced Devops Engineer to join our National Security Team.

The Role :

We are looking for a Devops Engineer to join an Agile team working on a large, complex project for a National Security client, developing new bespoke software. Responsibilities include :

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and private clouds.
• Deploying, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters, with familiarity in Docker and Helm.
• Developing automated tools for building, deployment, monitoring, testing, and maintenance.
• Creating policies for security, compliance, and disaster recovery.
• Optimizing infrastructure for high availability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency.
• Monitoring and improving infrastructure and application performance.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Managing and mentoring junior DevOps engineers.

The position is office-based 4 or 5 days per week in Cheltenham, Bristol, or Manchester.

The Fit :

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, multi-taskers, team players, with prior Devops experience, and strong communication and leadership skills. Experience in developing and deploying secure products, cloud technologies, highly available solutions, and agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban is preferred. Familiarity with technologies such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Packer, Vault, Serverless, Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Artifactory, and Nexus is advantageous.

Due to sector requirements, applicants should hold a high-level security clearance, be British passport holders, and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
