Salary : £45,000 to £52,000 per year

About the Role

Are you an Embedded Software Engineer with knowledge of Industrial Automation or Control Systems, looking for a role offering autonomy, working cross-functionally with Electrical and Controls Engineers to develop turn-key solutions for this company's cutting-edge products?

In this office-based role, your responsibilities will include collaborating with Electrical, Electronic, Controls and Software Engineers to integrate sensors, instrumentation and controls using embedded programming languages such as C / C++. Working collaboratively, you will be trained by senior staff on how best to implement solutions, learning a unique skillset to become a technical expert.

This market-leading company supplies into the scientific and research sectors. They have carved out a profitable niche, designing patent-protected products that generate extremely pure gas for laboratory applications. With over 700 internal staff, they are looking for a Junior Mechatronics Engineer to take their business to the next level.

This role would suit an Embedded Software Engineer or someone with knowledge of Electrical Controls / PLC Programming, looking to work collaboratively with senior Engineers to become a technical expert for a company on the cutting edge of scientific advancement.

Main Duties

• Embedded Software / Firmware Development for PLCs / Industrial Automation Technology
• Integrating sensors, actuators and control systems for laboratory gas generators
• Designing and programming control systems from scratch using C / C++ and MATLAB
• Working alongside experienced Controls Engineers to integrate, debug and test systems
• Comprehensive training to become a technical expert
• Work Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pm (flexible hours available)
