Electronics Engineer

  • Up to £85,000 + bonus + benefits
  • Electronics design, ADS / CST, high-speed PCB, RF
  • Mission-critical defence projects
  • On-site in Cambridge
  • SC clearance required

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a cutting-edge engineering consultancy delivering high-end radar, and secure comms systems to support UK defence and national security. They are seeking a capable Electronics Engineer to join their rapidly growing team.

This is a hands-on design role in an agile, lab-focused environment. You’ll be prototyping and testing complex electronics systems from first principles through to functional demonstrators.

THE ELECTRONICS ENGINEER ROLE

  • Design and prototype electronic and RF systems
  • Carry out simulation, modelling and characterisation (ADS, CST, etc.)
  • Work closely with embedded, mechanical, and software engineers
  • Solve complex hardware challenges across comms, radar, and microwave

    • ELECTRONICS ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • 3+ years’ experience in electronics and RF system design
  • Proven RF PCB design and lab-based test experience
  • Familiar with tools such as ADS, Microwave Office, or CST
  • Degree-qualified and active SC clearance

    • DESIRABLE :

  • RADAR / communications / microwave RF experience
  • High-speed digital design and antenna systems
  • MATLAB / Python scripting for testing
