110,000 - £130,000 + Equity

My client is an early-stage AI startup building intelligent agent-based systems for enterprise automation and decision support. Backed by leading investors and with a founding team from top-tier AI and engineering backgrounds, they’re now looking for a Founding Software Engineer to help shape their core product.

This is a hands-on engineering role with significant ownership across architecture, design, and deployment of AI-powered systems.

The Role :

You’ll work closely with the founders and early customers to build production-ready agentic workflows , natural language interfaces, and the underlying infrastructure that connects LLMs, retrieval systems, and user-facing applications.

Expect to be involved in :

• Building AI agent pipelines that chain LLM reasoning with external APIs, tools, and databases
• Developing natural language interfaces that allow users to interact with agents via chat, web, or API endpoints
• Deploying, monitoring, and optimising LLM-based systems for speed, cost, and reliability
• Working across backend (Python) and frontend (TypeScript / React) stacks to deliver end-to-end functionality
