Job Description

Our Client is a corporately owned practice looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated and friendly team in the Aberdeen area. This is a permanent position, available on a full or part-time basis, with an immediate start.

The Rota

The role includes a 1 in 4 Saturday rota, with a day off in lieu the following week. There is no Sunday or out-of-hours work, offering a healthy work-life balance.

The Practice

This independent, 100% small animal group was established in 1987 and now operates across six branches, including three RCVS GP-accredited practices and three consulting-only sites. The team is a blend of experienced vets and recent graduates, with excellent long-term staff retention and two nurse training centres. The working environment is supportive and collaborative, with consistency of care being a key focus.

The Role

You’ll be working within a well-structured team, managing a varied caseload of consults and surgeries. Clinical freedom is encouraged, and there’s strong support from senior vets and Practice Partners. This role offers scope to develop your own clinical interests, with certificate study actively supported.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will be RCVS registered, confident with routine consults and neutering, and eager to continue developing their skills. A positive, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills are essential.

Equipment and Facilities

The practice is well-equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscope, arthroscope, Doppler ultrasound and comprehensive in-house labs.
