Hays is delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with this successful business in Telford, seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant for a part-time role (~30 hours / week).

Your role

You will work closely with the management accountant, with duties including :

• Weekly / monthly journal production
• Draft Monthly Management Accounts
• Support notes for Management Accounts
• Cost sheets for operational departments, including completion, distribution, and review
• Post-review adjustments to Management Accounts and Cost Sheets
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and budgeting tasks
• Operational support for other departments

Requirements

Strong accuracy and attention to detail are essential. The candidate can be experienced or studying accounting, with training provided if needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and collaboration is important.
