Job Title : Modern Apprentice - Pharmacy Administrator (annex 21) B3

Location : Rowan Park Business Centre

Tenure : Fixed term

Salary : Band 3 Salary Scale : £28, 011 - £30,230

Modern Apprentice Salary : Starting salary : £21,161 per annum

  • Band 3 Annexe 21 Year 1 – 70% of top of scale
  • Band 3 Annexe 21 Year 2 – 75% of top of scale

On successful completion of the programme, you will be supported into permanent employment at the entry point of a Band 3 starting salary scale.

Start Date : 1st September 2025 (projected start date)

The role : As an Apprentice within Pharmacy Administration, you will be working towards achieving an SVQ 2 in Business & Administration. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic to learn and to develop within an apprenticeship. It is important that you take pride in doing your best and are not scared to take on new challenges as part of a team. We are looking to recruit someone who is interested in administration, wants to work towards working independently as part of a supportive team, this will involve managing calls, emails, rotas, patient appointments and diary time on behalf of the team, under supervision. The information we provide must be accurate therefore excellent attention to detail is required. Good communication skills are essential as you will spend time obtaining data from a range of sources so good written, verbal and listening skills are required. The team members are friendly, energetic and hardworking and so someone with an enthusiastic and friendly approach to work will find it easy to settle in.

The Modern Apprentice will :

  • Provide a comprehensive and effective clerical and administrative support.
  • Deal with routine day to day enquiries within the department.
  • Be a point of reference for clerical officer’s routine work.

    Entry Requirements :

    Applications are considered on a competitive basis which means not all candidates who meet the entry criteria will be guaranteed an interview.

    In order to be considered for interview your Application Form MUST clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria :

  • A National 5 qualification (or SCQF equivalent) at Grade A-C in English or ESOL
  • at least two National 4 qualifications (or SCQF equivalent)
  • are within the specified age range
  • Fully complete the application form
  • Stage 1 Interviews (Assessment Centre) : 16 / 07.2025

    Stage 2 Interviews : 25 / 07 / 2025
