Job Description :

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is committed to providing equitable access to healthcare services and offers interpreting services for patients requiring language support. We are seeking qualified, experienced sessional BSL interpreters to provide professional interpretation services in various settings.

Post Title : BSL (British Sign Language) Sessional Interpreter

Hours : Flexible

Pay : £35 per hour (minimum of 2 hours per assignment)

Location : Greater Glasgow & Clyde / Lanarkshire

Please only apply if you meet the following requirements :

• Currently registered as a qualified BSL interpreter with SRLPDC or NRCPD
• Fluent in British Sign Language with appropriate training and experience to interpret accurately and consistently in a healthcare setting
• Relevant experience in a public sector, advocacy, or legal environment; applications from private sector candidates with suitable qualifications / experience are also welcomed

Interpreters will work in hospitals, health centres, clinics, and patient homes. Empathy, confidentiality, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
