Overview :

A well-established food manufacturer is looking to appoint a Senior Technical Manager to lead the technical function, ensuring full compliance with BRC standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in food manufacturing and a strong understanding of working with NPD teams and delivering technical support for new product launches.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead all aspects of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance across the site
Ensure continued BRC accreditation and prepare for third-party and customer audits
Manage relationships with key retail and foodservice customers regarding technical matters
Collaborate closely with the NPD team on product development and process trials
Lead the site HACCP team and oversee internal auditing schedules
Drive continuous improvement of quality systems and standards across departments
Lead, develop, and mentor the site technical and QA team

Requirements :

Experience in a senior technical role within food manufacturing

In-depth knowledge of BRCGS standards and retailer codes of practice

Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills

Practical experience with HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, and internal auditing

Previous involvement in NPD or process development is highly desirable
