We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the electrical systems and equipment within our facility are maintained and functioning optimally. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, as well as experience with plant and mechanical systems. The Maintenance Electrician will play a crucial role in supporting the overall efficiency and safety of our operations.
Working Conditions
- Working hours : 37.5 per week
- Overtime applicable during the week (1.5x rate), Saturday (1.5x rate), Sunday & Bank Holidays (2x rate)
- On-call allowance : GBP 1 per hour while on call, with overtime rate during on-site call-outs
- Requires an enhanced DBS check
- Temporary to permanent position
Responsibilities
Perform legislative PPM tasks, including emergency luminaire inspection, testing, and repairCarry out reactive maintenance on various plant and equipment as directed by the technical supervisorDiagnose faults and identify / implement solutionsConduct risk assessmentsProvide out-of-hours callout support on a 1 week in 5 rotaAdhere to PPM schedulesContribute to continuous process and system improvementsAccurately identify faults and implement appropriate solutions promptlyAttend departmental meetings as requiredSupport a collaborative learning culture within the team and wider businessAssist senior management as neededCommunicate clearly with key stakeholders to ensure team goals are metEssential Qualifications and Skills
