Job description

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing North Wales based specialist serves provider as they look to recruit a Payroll Manager into this newly created role.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced and well rounded Payroll Manager seeking an opportunity within a diverse and fast paced organisation.

Salary

  • 45-48,000pa

Job Duties :

  • Payroll Processing
  • Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees
  • Reviewing the posting of monthly payroll journals and control account reconciliations and Payment of PAYE
  • Supporting with and reporting on the administration of pension contributions, auto-enrolment and communications.
  • Overseeing holiday, absence and sick pay and statutory sick pay calculations and deductions.
  • Ensure the team are supported with all Tax Year-End procedures are run including P60's.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including tax withholding and reporting.
  • Lead and manage the payroll department staff, providing training, guidance, and support.

  • Payroll Audits
  • Prepare and generate payroll reports for management, finance, and accounting departments.
  • Contribute towards the strategic direction of the organisation through regular engagement with senior stakeholders
  • Continuously assess payroll processes and recommend improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Ideal experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Previous experience within a supervisory payroll position
  • Certifications : Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations, tax filings, and employee benefits.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees and management professionally.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll issues and discrepancies.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
