We are currently recruiting for a Financial Planning practice based in Bishops Stortford who are looking to recruit a Paraplanner.
Location : Bishops Stortford (Office based, post probation - 1 wfh day per week)
Hours : Full-time (Mon-Fri) 9am – 5 : 30pm
Overview
The paraplanning team consists of paraplanners, administration staff and trainee advisers. Some of the team are split into pods (smaller sub-teams) and others have a centrallised approach to work items. Administrators within the team fall into the centrallised position, to assist with work which falls across all pods. Your role will involve working as a paraplanner within the team to ensure the following roles are completed. You will be linked to advisers which are subject to change.

Main Paraplanning & Administration Responsibilities :
irectly with dedicated advisers and having daily update meetings for all cases
Providing technical support to others within the team and assisting advisers with technical queries and calculationsCompiling research for new business casesDrafting suitability reports ready for adviser sign-offProcessing client requests, such as withdrawals and contributionsBuilding cashflow analysis in preparation for client meetingsLiaising with clients by phone, email and post on all queriesAttending client meetings as and when necessaryGenerating cover letters, one pagers and other client facing documentsPrinting and pre-populating any supporting documents required for review meetingsAnswering the phone and dealing with queries as and when they ariseEnsure all paperwork is scanned to file appropriately, categorised and subcategorisedUsing workflows to track new business cases on iOUpdating iO with new fact find informationProcessing LoAs / chasing policy information with providersSending out monthly valuations to clientsEnsuring compliance documents are in date and on iOSkill Set
Proven paraplanning experienceLevel 4 Diploma qualified or close to achieving this (R01–R06)Strong technical knowledge of financial products and servicesEffective leadership and mentoring abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage workloads effectivelyHonest, reliable, trustworthy and must act with discretion and integrity
