Track Engineer - site based - Ipswich

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for Site Engineer - Track to join our Rail team as part of the Sizewell C project.

The primary purpose of the role will be to assist with the provision of technical support to the Senior Project Engineer for the planning and delivery of the permanent way design on the Sizewell C Rail Scheme ensuring all technical aspects of the works comply with relevant Network Rail Group standards, Rail Safety and Standards Board standards, British Standards and safety legislation.

What you'll be doing

• Provide assistant technical support in the detailed planning and execution of all of Track Renewal and Enhancement Works as allocated by the Senior Project Engineer.
• Monitor and ensure technical compliance on all works, site and office.
• Attend relevant meetings including Whiteboard / Stage Gate meetings as required.
• Manage the work to meet agreed financial targets, performance KRAs and other KPI’s.
• Undertake surveys, planning and programming of work, technical supervision on site, preparation of documents.
• Ensure the preparation and submission of Bar Charts / Time Chainage charts, WPP’s, task briefs and other site documentation for all works.
• Undertake safety inspections and submit Daily Work Returns (Planned v Actuals) in a timely manner.
