The Head of Costing and Finance Systems is responsible for Abcam's inventory accounting and finance systems globally.

This position reports to the Finance Director - Supply Chain & Manufacturing and is part of the Finance Team located in Cambridge and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Own Abcam's inventory accounting globally, ensuring accurate standard costing, variance analysis and monthly reporting
• Ensure correct financial procedures are maintained and adhered to across inventory, including Sox compliance and audit support
• Lead a global team of costing accountants and finance systems SMEs
• Coordinate with Abcam's supply chain team to promote ongoing improvements in inventory turnover and working capital
• Perform analysis to improve gross margin, consider make vs buy and enhance manufacturing productivity
• Manage a pipeline of finance systems enhancements with a small team, coordinating with controllership, Abcam Digital and outsourced providers
