Job description3-5+ years' industry experience in electronics design and development Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or related discipline Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and BOM management Hands-on lab skills with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, etc.) Strong understanding of design for manufacture, cost, and reliability Exposure to EMC testing and compliance processes Bonus points for embedded C or Python coding skills, or mechanical / CAD awareness
Electronics Engineer - Cambridge - Next-Gen Autonomous Systems
An ambitious and fast-growing technology company, operating at the forefront of autonomous systems, is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge applications in autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, and intelligent sensing systems.
As a key part of the engineering function, you’ll be involved in electronics design activities, support the development of new products, and play an integral role in taking concepts through to production-ready systems.
What you’ll be doing :
- Designing digital and analogue electronic circuits
- Creating schematics and PCB layouts (experience with Altium Designer is a plus)
- Defining and executing test plans, including EMC pre-compliance and lab-based testing
- Supporting antenna testing and simulation activities
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical and embedded engineers
- Working with suppliers to support development and production needs
