Job description

Charge Nurse ( RGN / RMN / RNLD ) – Nursing home in Ayr, Ayrshire- up to £53,000 per annum

  • Position :  Charge Nurse  ( RGN / RMN / RNLD )
  • Location :  Ayr, Ayrshire
  • Care Categories :  Dementia / Alzheimer’s and general elderly care
  • Salary :   £ – £ p / h – up to £53,000 per annum The actual rate of pay will be within these advertised bandings and will be dependent on your ability to demonstrate your competence during the interview.
  • Hours :  Full-time 44 hours per week
  • Shifts :  Days or Nights
  • Contract Type :  Permanent

  • Requirements :

  • Valid and clear NMC pin registration number ( RGN / RMN / RNLD )
  • Full eligibility to work and live in the UK
  • Genuine passion for elderly care and a desire to make a difference
  • The role as a Charge Nurse ( RGN / RMN / RNLD ) :

  • Strong clinical skillset and confidence to lead the nursing team
  • Prior management experience, or experience of leading a small team
  • The ability of supporting, guiding, teaching and mentoring others in line with the NMC Code, following its guidance at all times
  • A desire to encourage positive working relationships within the team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A good working knowledge of audits, safeguarding, DOLS, CQC and compliance
  • Passion about providing excellent care and supporting the residents and their families
