Project Manager - Finance Transformation
Salary : £80,000 - £100,000 (dependent on experience)
Location : London (hybrid)
Our client, a leading name in the retail industry, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager with strong Change Management expertise to play a critical role in their Finance Transformation programme. This is a permanent position, based in London with a hybrid working model.
About the Role
This high-impact role sits at the intersection of technology, finance, and change. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end delivery of transformation initiatives-ranging from system upgrades to process redesign-while also driving the people-focused aspects of change to ensure adoption and long-term success.
You'll thrive in this role if you're results-driven, action-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, agile retail environment. Working cross-functionally, you'll bring clarity, direction, and pace to complex programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Deliver end-to-end finance transformation projects, including new software implementations and process improvements.
- Own and manage project plans, RAID logs, timelines, and stakeholder maps.
- Drive accountability across workstreams to ensure timely, quality delivery.
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment to business needs.
- Maintain strong governance, reporting, and communication throughout all project phases.
Change Management
Define and lead the change strategy for finance transformation.Conduct impact assessments and manage change risks effectively.Develop and execute communication, training, and stakeholder engagement plans.Guide teams through cultural, behavioural, and process changes.Serve as a trusted change advocate across the organisation.Experience & Skills Required
Proven track record of delivering finance transformation projects in a retail or fast-paced commercial setting.Strong experience managing both technical (systems / process) and people (change / communications) elements of transformation.Solid understanding of finance systems (ERP, EPM, reporting tools) and process re-engineering.Advanced project planning and risk management skills.Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to simplify complexity and deliver swiftly.Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities, including at senior levels.Change Management certification (e.g. PROSCI) or equivalent experience highly desirable.Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince2, PMP, Agile) is a plus.If you're passionate about delivering meaningful change and want to be at the heart of a transformative journey within a dynamic retail organisation, this could be your next big opportunity.
