We are seeking an experienced Downstream Process Development Scientist to join an innovative organization focused on advancing UK leadership in biotech, Agri-tech, pharma, and biopharma sectors. The Senior Scientist will lead technical projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including fermentation, microbiology, quality, operations, and engineering. This role offers opportunities to develop expertise across multiple DSP technologies, from laboratory scale-down to demonstration scale at 10,000L. The diverse projects and bioproducts across markets ensure a variety of downstream processes, supporting clients' commercialization efforts.

Responsibilities :

• Build and maintain a network of internal stakeholders; represent yourself and the team as a credible professional in networks and groups.
• Present and report experimental findings and data for peer review and client submission, adhering to deadlines and standards.
• Plan, execute, and analyze experimental / pilot scale runs; interpret results within agreed timescales and quality standards, aligned with project / client needs.
• Maintain clear documentation of technical data, decisions, methodologies, calculations, and software use.
• Coordinate weekly work plans with managers and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated for safety and efficiency to meet customer requirements.
