General Assistant

We are recruiting for a General Assistant. The role is part-time, on a temporary 8-hour contract.

This position is to cover the summer period, with a 12-week contract.

The Role

The general assistant's role is to go above and beyond to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers through merchandising, stock management, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers at manned or self-scan checkouts, providing excellent customer service.
• Merchandising, ordering, date checking, and stock rotation across all store areas, including fresh, ambient, and frozen goods.
• Following company policies and health and safety procedures to protect yourself, customers, colleagues, and third parties.
• Maintaining high standards of work in all tasks.
• Preparing for stock takes and counting as required.

Role Criteria

No prior Deli or retail experience is necessary; full training will be provided.

We seek someone with a positive attitude, who works well in a team, and is eager to learn and develop new skills.
