Job description

We are a specialty vaccine company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases addressing unmet medical needs.

We are recruiting for a Global Finance Business Partner to support our manufacturing operations across our sites in Livingston, Solna, and Vienna.

This role involves supporting the Director of Finance and the wider finance team to report and provide insights into the financial and operational performance of our manufacturing activities, including Livingston, Solna, and External Manufacturing services, including those recorded in VLA Austria. Responsibilities include preparing budgets and forecasts, monthly management accounts, and presenting information to senior stakeholders to influence strategic decision-making. The role will also contribute to business growth through ad hoc projects.

  • Promote strong financial control and governance across all manufacturing activities
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting for all manufacturing activities across the Group
  • Prepare and analyze management accounts with commentary, review performance against budget and prior year, and present findings to senior stakeholders
  • Handle capital expenditure requests and monitor ongoing project spending
  • Report on key business metrics, including net working capital, to foster continuous process improvement
  • Use financial modelling for scenario planning to assess impacts on production scheduling, delivery timing, and costs
  • Assist in the review and recalculation of standard COGS across the Group, adhering to SOX processes
  • Serve as the primary contact for financial queries from other departments
  • Forecast cash flow for all manufacturing activities
  • Travel periodically to Sweden and Austria as needed
  • Manage two direct reports
  • Support out-of-hours work as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager

Education / Experience

Essential

  • Qualified Accountant with relevant post-qualifying experience
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Desirable

  • Knowledge of standard costing
  • Experience with internal controls and SOX
  • Experience working with SMEs
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries
  • International collaboration experience
  • Required Skills

  • Curiosity and desire to learn about the industry

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
