As a Plant Maintenance Technician, you will work as part of our dedicated Manufacturing Engineering team and be responsible for the planned preventative maintenance and calibration of production equipment, as well as resolving unplanned maintenance events.
Your responsibilities
- Maximising uptime of production and plant equipment by performing effective planned preventative maintenance
- Timely resolution of unplanned maintenance events by diagnosing and performing repairs to Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
- Conduct root cause investigation on equipment failures and implement robust corrective actions
- Ensure maintenance events are appropriately assessed to determine the impact on Process Validation and communicate to relevant departments
- Collaborate with the Operations team to plan maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to serial production
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities including costs
- Conduct Health & Safety, COSHH, PUWER risk assessments as required
- Actively promote continuous improvement and participate in new equipment projects
- City & Guilds or BTEC Level 3 Qualification as a minimum in a technical discipline
- Proven experience in a Maintenance role from within a Manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and practices
- Competent to inspect, diagnose and rectify faults in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside of normal operational hours if there is an urgent requirement
The role requires you to be on your feet for extended periods of time during your general day to day activities which include walking between sites, visiting plant rooms and roof spaces.
