Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking Cost / Senior Cost Managers to support the delivery of new construction projects related to central & local government, including the development of new prisons across the UK.

Our cost management professionals handle projects of varying sizes, typically ranging from £10-£50m, with support depending on project complexity. The successful candidate will also support Directors in delivering some of the region's most high-profile projects.

Role Objectives

  • Pre- and post-contract duties including cost estimates, procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, final accounts, etc.
  • Completing feasibility studies.
  • Estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting final cost plans.
  • Tendering and procurement activities, managing pre-qualification, producing tender lists, analyzing tenders, and preparing reports and contracts.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and valuations.
  • Interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages.
  • Managing cost variances and change control processes post-contract.
  • Performing cost risk analysis and contributing to value engineering; negotiating and approving final accounts.
  • Supporting the development of junior team members by sharing your experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality cost management / quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle.
  • Professional qualification (RICS or similar) preferred.
  • Degree or HNC qualification.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
