Are you ready to take on a hands-on technical role at the forefront of the UK space industry?

We’re recruiting for an experienced Assembly Technician to join a rapidly expanding aerospace organisation at their newly upgraded workshop and engine test facility in Glasgow . You'll be working on cutting-edge launch vehicle technology, supporting both the construction and testing phases—including live hot fire testing of orbit-class rocket engines.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the UK’s space ambitions, while building your expertise in a highly dynamic and rewarding engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

Work efficiently on the workshop floor, ensuring all tasks follow strict safety and engineering protocols.

Operate and maintain complex machinery used in the production of launch vehicles.

Monitor quality and ensure all components meet rigorous aerospace standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during production.

Share knowledge and mentor junior staff.

Promote a culture of safety through regular risk assessments and best practices.

Contribute to the improvement of workshop processes and overall production efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

SVQ / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in aerospace / mechanical engineering, or relevant industry experience (UK-SPEC EngTech accepted).

Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering or production environment—ideally aerospace or automotive.

Proven ability to work with complex tools and machinery.

Strong understanding of workshop health & safety protocols.

Excellent troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
