Overview
Responsible for all aspects of project management including estimating, revenue and cost reporting, project budgets, client relations and managing project team.
Responsibilities
Estimating
- Prepare quantity take-offs, estimates, reports and presentations using a variety of software options
- Coordinate requests for quotation from suppliers and subcontractors
- Pursue alternate proposal opportunities
- Manage proposal deadlines; coordinate the timely submittal of completed proposals
- Review completed bids, proposals, with Chief Estimator
- Complete the opportunity function in GroundWorks; input client information, updated cost information, etc.
Project Management
Take the lead in transferring estimates to project management levelProvide initial construction budgets to project accountantProvide detailed review and evaluation of contract termsExecute projects in accordance with contracts and schedulesManage (performance expectations, constructive feedback, etc) and mentor project management team (project engineers, project coordinator)Provide guidance to project teams to develop, submit, track and enforce project mobilization, quality, safety, environmental, staffing and execution plansCoordinate equipment and crew requirements with general superintendent and equipment teamManage labour and equipment requirements on an ongoing basisAccurately track the progress of the work and compare to project budget, notify project accountant of any significant deviations along with an explanation for the deviationsProvide effective contract change management to identify any scope creep or changes, change conditions, or claim situations that are discovered during the course of the work and notify client, as per contract timeframes, and track and submit all cost and schedule impacts for changes and complete and execute all change ordersEnsure procurement and equipment requests are submitted in a timely mannerEnsure equipment is utilized for maximum efficiencyFinance
Manage revenue forecasting, project budgets and cost reporting and cost controlAssist with collection of outstanding payments from clientsEnsure profit margins are achievedEnsure accurate and timely reporting of project financialsProvide guidance on Accounts Payable activitiesBusiness Development
Represent Keller Foundations at industry associations and major project partnershipsAttend client social activitiesPresent on completed projects to clients or consultantsCreate and maintain positive relationships with owners, consultants and general contractorsQualifications
Education and Experience
Eng. certification or equivalent experience and / or educationMinimum 3-5 years’ work experience, preferably in construction industryKnowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
