Regional Security Advisor

We are currently recruiting multiple Regional Security Advisors, working part of our Protective Security team in London and the Thames Valley / Home Counties. As part of the Regional Protective Security Team, you will have a close working relationship with site teams and other stakeholders to support the performance of our physical security, ensuring our critical assets within a specific area of our estate are secure.

You will be the link between our regulator’s guidance and the business, providing security advice to colleagues as required. An ambassador for promoting security and adherence to the associated policies and procedures across the business. To ensure Thames Water’s people, processes, premises, and assets security is maintained.

What you’ll be doing as a Regional Security Advisor

• Conduct security risk assessments to a consistent standard across our estate.
• Conducting security investigations to a consistent standard and reviewing compliance assessment forms, escalating as required.
• Providing practical security advice to TW colleagues as a subject matter expert.
• Involved and engaged in the testing and exercising of our security arrangements.
• Support incident responses and risk register reviews. Assist senior members of the team in auditing operational sites and systems and providing quality assurance of security-related projects.
• Monitor security KPIS and SLAS.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote common standards and alignment of security policy and practice across Thames Water. In addition, promote a security-conscious culture within Thames Water.

There are multiple locations available for this role :

Working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

As part of the security team, you will be required to travel across the Thames Water region.
