The role :

We are seeking an experienced Child Care Solicitor to join a busy legal team within a local authority based in Ashton-under-Lyne. This is a crucial role requiring a qualified solicitor with a strong background in children’s social care law, particularly around child protection litigation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide a wide range of legal advice and assistance relating to children’s social care.
• Manage a caseload involving care proceedings and other public law children matters.
• Undertake advocacy in court as required.
• Work closely with social care teams, external partners, and counsel to support the protection of vulnerable children.
