WHAT WILL YOUR ROLE INCLUDE?
Check maintenance books in the home and carry out repairs as required or contact engineers / service agents where applicable.Complete all checks on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as required.Undertake basic electrical checks on all equipment, ensuring that all plugs and cables are visually checked for signs of damage.Ensure that daily / weekly / monthly fire checks are completed, including the fire alarm system, fire extinguishers, and fire doors.Maintain all items of equipment and tools in a clean, safe, and secure manner.Submit monthly meter readings of gas, electricity, and water to the Administrator / Manager.Ensure deliveries to the Home are stored and checked appropriately.Keep all storage areas clean and tidy and maintain security.Keep all internal and external doors and pathways clear and report defects.Undertake general redecoration works as instructed by the Home Manager.Undertake ground maintenance to keep the site generally weed-free.Use and maintain the equipment provided in a safe and secure manner.Maintain residents’ privacy and communicate with nursing staff regarding works affecting resident care.Liaise with the Home Manager and Facilities Manager weekly to discuss maintenance issues.Assist in the general maintenance of the retirement apartments.Skills :
Strong knowledge of basic maintenance operations.Ability to troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.Good interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work independently and with little supervision.Ability to work in a team environment.Good problem-solving skills.Seniority level
