Job Description :

As an Engineering Team Lead (Electrical Bias) for a leading food manufacturer, you will manage engineers, lead projects, and provide PPM and OEE support at the company's Trafford Park manufacturing site.

Our client is an established manufacturer of authentic global foods for hospitality, retail, food service, and wholesale sectors.

This role requires a time-served or apprentice-trained engineer with experience in a fast-paced environment. The site is AA BRC rated; candidates must have experience working within a highly regulated and audited site.

Responsibilities :

Act as the Engineering Shift Team CMMS Supervisor; support system implementation and train users.
Manage the engineering shift team, including 2 direct reports, to maximize plant and equipment availability.
Implement cost reduction, OEE improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.
Ensure the engineering team maximizes machine uptime, planned maintenance, health and safety, quality, hygiene, and budget adherence.

Candidate Profile :

Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship (Electrical or Multi-skilled) - ONC or BTEC equivalent; HNC preferred, with electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.

Proven leadership and team management skills.

Experience managing contractors and issuing permit-to-work procedures.

Proficiency with maintenance management software (CMMS).

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
