Job description

Job Title : Air Conditioning Engineer

Location : Glasgow

Salary : Up to £39,000 per annum

Working Hours : Monday to Friday, 08 : 00–16 : 30

On-Call Rota : 1 in 5 weeks (£120 standby, minimum 4 hours paid at 1.5x rate)

Overtime Rates : 1.5x Mon–Sat, 2.0x on Sundays

Holiday Allowance : 25 days + 8 bank holidays

Role Overview :

We are currently recruiting for a qualified Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established and growing facilities management team based on a large, 24 / 7 operational site in Glasgow. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team environment with excellent client engagement and a focus on both planned and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities :

Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance (approx. 50 / 50 split) on HVAC and air conditioning systems

Supporting small works and minor installations (typically scheduled on weekends with overtime pay)

Working in a client-facing environment, ensuring high levels of service delivery

Participation in a call-out rota (1 in 5)

Ensuring all work is carried out in line with H&S and compliance standards

Requirements :

F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential)

Proven experience in a similar air conditioning maintenance role

Ability to work independently and as part of a larger engineering team

Comfortable working in a customer-focused environment
