We are recruiting! Join us as a Learning Disability Support Worker and help create a future where learning disabled people live their best lives.

We understand that life can be complicated, but some of us are prevented from pursuing our dreams. Many learning disabled individuals are unheard, unable to decide on their support, work, or manage their finances. Some are unable to try new hobbies they love.

But you can change that.

Join our team in Tiverton, Devon, and receive comprehensive training to become a confident Support Worker.

If our values - Kind, Diverse, Positive, and Visionary - resonate with you, we already have much in common. Support learning disabled adults to develop skills, achieve their goals, and thrive in your community.

What we offer :

  • Location : Tiverton, Devon
  • Salary : £ per hour rising to £ per hour from 1st October 2024 (plus holiday pay)
  • Flexible working hours, including sleep-ins paid at £58 per shift plus holiday pay
  • Pay incentives : 10% overtime, 20% Bank Holiday, 50% Christmas allowances
  • Funding for Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care
  • Benefits : Health, retail, and cash incentives

Responsibilities :

Support individuals with daily tasks, personal care, and help them achieve their goals. Support may include planning shopping, outdoor activities, attending events, building confidence in using public transport, and money management. The key is helping people discover new interests and maintain relationships.

You will provide high-quality care, listen to their needs, and support with medication, cooking, and confidence-building activities. Shifts vary to promote work-life balance.

Having a full driving license is preferred, but not essential. Access to a car or assistance with transportation is advantageous due to limited public transport options.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Tiverton team!
