Job Description

We require some support for at least 6 months whilst Together implement our large-scale transformation programme with the objective of upgrading and re-platforming several key systems across the estate and removing legacy architecture across the Group.

Group Internal Audit have created a Nexus Transformation Assurance Plan which is aligned to the key workstreams and associated risks of the transformation. With the significant and fast-paced change and transformation / modernisation taking place to Group-wide processes and systems, you will be helping  to deliver the Group Internal Audit Transformation Assurance Plan by providing independent assurance across several different pre-defined workstream areas.

Typical duties include :

  • To conduct audits and assurance reviews related to the Platform Transformation Programme
  • To timely feedback any outputs of reviews and to work closely with the Delivery Team to agree value add recommendations.
  • To contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the Transformation Assurance Plan, updating the plan where required and managing the day-to-day changes to documentation where required.
  • Work as part of a team to successfully provide impactful reports, assurance and contribute to improving the control environment for Programme related assurance activity.
  • Ensure that the results of assurance work relating to the Transformation Assurance Plan are performed and recommendations for improvement are provided to the Delivery Team in a clear, succinct, factually based and timely Internal Audit report format.
  • Assist the IT & Change Senior Audit Manager with the maintenance of the Transformation Assurance Plan and associated evidence including reports and artefacts.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities within the Programme and develop / recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Engage with senior level stakeholders on a regular basis during reviews, communicating progress, risks, and any recommendations as and when required.
  • Maintain and drive strategic partnerships with the Delivery Team and wider business.

Qualifications

Essential Skills :

Please apply if you have a number of the following skills :

  • Significant demonstrable experience in Internal Audit of Transformation & Change, including Risk based methodologies, Codes of Conduct and industry best practice and with a sound knowledge of IA principles.
  • Experience of providing assurance of the following areas relating to testing : Systems Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Non-Functional Testing, Migration / Dress Rehearsals.
  • Experience of providing assurance on the readiness elements of a Transformation Change programme such as the areas of : Training Requirements, Contract Management, Access Management, Post Implementation and Dress Rehearsals.
  • Experience of providing assurance on Programme Management areas related to Governance, such as Attestation Frameworks and Go / No-Go criteria.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills and the ability to communicate the results of audit reviews clearly and succinctly.
  • Experience of working with relatively complex and technical areas of company technology risk management and control activity.
  • Desirable (not essential)

  • A good understanding of the Financial Services industry and the Regulatory and Legislative environment.
