The Role You’ll play a key part in ensuring ENWL’s preparedness for major incidents — from storms and power outages to supporting plans for cyber security, business continuity, environmental, and data incidents. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll help build resilience, plan and deliver training, and drive continuous improvement through learning and exercises. Although advertised in Manchester, this role can be done from any ENWL Office and also offers flexibility to work from home. You’ll be responsible for : Supporting ENWL’s 5-step preparedness cycle : plan, organise and equip, train, exercise, and evaluate Administering incident response training, exercises, and refresher programmes Delivering engagement plans to promote incident ownership across the business Maintaining incident planning documentation and lessons learned trackers Representing ENWL at national and local meetings, including Emergency Planning Manager Forum and Local Resilience Forums Supporting ENWL’s Incident Management Centre during incidents, including out-of-hours participation About You We’re looking for someone with : Direct experience working with the Civil Contingencies Act (2004), ideally in the capacity of a Category 1 or Category 2 responder A strong understanding of multi-agency emergency planning, risk assessment, and resilience frameworks Experience contributing to or leading emergency planning, business continuity, or incident response in a regulated or critical infrastructure environment Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills Experience working with operational field teams and an understanding of customer and stakeholder needs Awareness of the electricity distribution business, regulatory standards, and civil contingency requirements would be a bonus What’s on Offer As a vital team member, and in return for your expertise, inclusive approach, and commitment, Electricity North West offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to join a passionate and welcoming team.
