Lead Grid and Transmission Engineer

My client is an international company dedicated to offshore wind energy. They’re currently operating one of the UK’s largest offshore wind farms. The Lead Grid and Transmission Engineer will provide expert advice to the other projects in the portfolio. This expert advice will be in relation to any Grid Code compliance issues that arise during the operation of any projects and to the design, installation, testing and operation of transmission assets. This presents an exciting opportunity for an individual who wishes to contribute to the UK’s net-zero targets by being a key player in the successful delivery of the project. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Lead Grid and Transmission Engineer is a key member of the engineering team, leading the overall electrical system design for the project (the wind farm and associated transmission assets) and connection of the Project to the NETS. The Lead Grid and Transmission Engineer is responsible for developing the overall electrical system design for the Project that complies with all relevant industry codes, such as the Grid Code and the Security and Quality of Supply Standards (SQSS).
