Your responsibilities

  • Receive, register, and book in medical and surgical endoscopes and other equipment.
  • Perform manual and automatic cleaning and disinfection of instruments to high standards.
  • Accurately record faults and processes, and assist with maintenance and testing in the department.
  • Ensure all items are registered and processed within target times, using computer systems to manage bookings.
  • Manually clean endoscopes and other medical and surgical equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of faults and processes.
  • Follow procedures to ensure correct processing of all items.
  • Operate Endoscope Washer Disinfectors, Autoclave Steriliser, and LTSF Steriliser.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 6S practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers and provide excellent customer service.

Additional desirable qualifications include experience in a clinical setting, knowledge of manual handling techniques, 6S practices, understanding detailed technical instructions, and knowledge of H&S standards. Prior experience in quality control roles or related skills is preferred.
